2.23 – 2.25 volts per cell trickle charger is recommended. The typical trickle charging voltage is between 2.15 volts per cell (12.9 volts for a 12V 6 cell battery) and 2.35 volts per cell (14.1 volts for a 12V 6 cell battery). These voltages are appropriate to apply to a fully charged battery without overcharging or damaging the battery.
First, ensure that the battery is ready to charge. Connect the clamp cable to the charger. Plug-in AC power and make sure you use high-quality connecting cables to avoid short circuits. Then press the mode button on the trickle charger for fast or slow charging. A car icon will appear if you use fast charging. A trickle charger supports a larger variety of battery types like SLA, AGM, or Li-ion batteries. You can select your battery type on the device. Carefully connect the clamps to the battery. Red clamp on the positive terminal and black clamp on the red terminal. The charger will start reconditioning charging. When the battery is fully charged, unplug the black clamp first then the red clamp, then remove the AC source.
